Step One... Friends?

Now that we've decided on a date, May 28th, and have a ceremony location, Dan forth Chapel, we now need a reception location - as to that, well, we're still looking, so don't pressure us.

We will figure it out! - Save the Dates, are enough for now eh?

BTW Note: Sean's Mother, Dana has chosen out a very adorable flower girls' dress and I couldn't be happier (~Kristina)

So now, we've decided to start a blog, to document what we are planning and how everything is coming together leading up to the "big day" - or as I want to call it, a celebration of love and happiness and making things "official" there would still be love and happiness and dedication, but there can now be a party, and great big promises that we will try our hardest to follow, it's hard to be perfect, but we sure will try.

So- we will start with a "what are we doing now" and move into a more individual style post of "this is what happened when..."

So happy reading, and please enjoy our walk with us as we head toward the "next step" of our lives.

Next up: The First Step :)

Enjoy!

Well, there is a certain type of love that seems to be alluding in many relationships, the kind that spurs from friendship and understanding. This has never been the case in ours, Sean and I have been a pretty good match from the start, minus the brief dating period in the eighth grade, where we were a teenage "couple" for all of about 7 days. Although he did give me a gift, in a breakup LETTER, that someone else delivered to me whist I was sick at the very beginning of winter break that school year. It's strange to think I always wanted to know him better, even though he broke my little teenage heart. We then were friends for years, until one day in our Sr. year of high school, he and I started to "hang out" more and more, leading to holding hands under a blanket at his parents house, and talking on AIM until unknown hours of the night, which also led to a funny delay in the beginning of our "second" relationship, or the actual act of dating, as now adults both in our eighteenth year of existence on this planet. We were "AIMing" as I am sure many did approx. four years ago, and he meant to type the "how he was going to ask me out story" to my best friend at the time Ashely, and instead sent it to me. How awkward must that have been?

Very.

And then, it was days later when he actually decided to pop the "question" of will you be my girlfriend, quite awkwardly on my parents porch. So there it is, the first step of our  beautiful journey of life together, not alone.

Clarification

After making the mistake of sending Kristina my plan to ask her out, I knew I would have to be a lot more clever in the actual act of doing so, besides asking someone out online is lame! So I decided it would be entertaining for me to watch her wait for 3 days. Maybe that was mean, or stupid but come on, I'm a guy. As for the eighth grade, well sorry...

Anyway, I never thought that one day I would not only be getting married, but getting married to my best friend. There is nothing better in knowing that the person that I would call upon in time of trouble, is also the person I would get to come home to every night.

Here's to friendship!

Sean
